There are many elements to learning your instrument and achieving a level of proficiency and confidence. Time, dedication and knowledge are some elements that comprise to getting there but that’s not all of it. Any opportunity I had to play with other musicians and the Fun Factor was present, the concept of time disappeared. We just wanted to keep on playing! Everyone was having a great time and no one was starring at the clock thinking it was time to wrap things up.
Take what you have learned and have fun with it, and I’m not talking about putting on a clown suite (LOL). There is always time to challenge yourself with getting to the next level of proficiency and with determination and dedication you’ll get there. But a musicians journey is life long.
